Actors don't have to be Marvel experts to work at UCM

The UCM (Marvel Cinematic Universe) has used many actors for the Disney + movies and series, but does not require them to be experts in comics.

Since 2008, Marvel has created a plump franchise that has featured many actors, some acquaintances and others who have risen to stardom after passing through the UCM. The actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Doctor Who, Dark Crystal: The Age of Resistance) that will appear in the series Loki, confirmed that she is not as involved in the stories of this entire Universe as the others.

"I can't confess to being a great UCM nerd," said Gugu Mbatha-Raw in a recent interview. "Obviously, it's a big part of our culture, so I was very aware of it and it's fun because I actually went to drama school at the same time as Tom Hiddleston. Ten years ago, when I first came here to do a television pilot, "Under Covers," he was shooting the first Thor movie at the same time. I remember him telling me about this experience of this new Marvel movie that he was making. ”

Despite the Loki series being paused due to the coronavirus, production has been ongoing long enough for some images to appear in the teaser for Disney + and for Mbatha-Raw to come out with a great impression from its director, Kate Herron.

"She is so fresh and interesting," added the actress. “I feel like even though you're dealing with this great Marvel universe, she still makes it feel very intimate. It just boils it down to his character, moments and emotions. ”

Production in Loki is rumored to resume filming in July.

The co-star of the series, Sophia Di MartinoHe apparently confirmed the same thing in an Instagram post yesterday that alluded to a restart on the set of the original Disney + series. While he's obviously far from confirming that production will resume in the coming weeks, it seems likely that this is one of the first steps for Marvel Studios to resume things once again.

Loki You will see Tom Hiddleston return as the God of Deception in the exclusive Disney + series with Di Martini playing Lady Loki or Enchantress alongside him. Now we also know that the actor Owen Wilson is playing a TVA agent on the show with the Academy Award nominee Richard E. Grant recruited for a role that some theorize could be none other than Marvel villain Kang, the Conqueror. | Movies, comics and series
