Borat 2 Review: Wild and Funny

Borat 2 premiered today on Prime Video, directed by Jason Woliner and starring Sacha Baron Cohen.

Fourteen years after his first adventure, the fourth best journalist in Kazakhstan returns to save the world in 2020.

Borat 2 presents the sequels that the first installment had,

as we return to the starting point, Borat returning to the US, to save the honor of your country. Borat once again ridicules American society, such as, we see Nazi greetings at a Republican rally or two Republicans who claim that Covid-19 is a Democratic invention. All a mockery of North American society. But it also has positive features, such as the feminist side of the film, which this time delves into a father-child relationship.

Borat 2 has no limits or filters,

is tremendously politically incorrect and is what makes this movie something quasi perfect. It is worth noting the mastery with which Baron Cohen sneaks into the homes of the locals and laughs in their faces; especially in how he ridicules Rudy Giuliani, Donal (or McDonald) Trump's lawyer. Sacha Baron has a lot of courage and a little shame that helps the film have a brilliant rhythm; as well as some wild scenes (like the dance scene or Giuliani's own).

Borat in addition to ridiculing the society of the United States,

it also fuels the flame of ignorance or of fueling political debate or even encouraging those in doubt to vote. We can say that Borat 2 is a box of fireworks with a hodgepodge of scenes, guided by a common thread, that explode in the face until reaching an end that is tremendously explosive that you don't expect to close a perfect and sublime circle.

Borat 2 continues at the level of its predecessor, laughing at everything and leaving a message. Totally recommended and possibly let's talk about a necessary film for this year 2020. Hopefully we can see a third part.
