Chris Hemsworth, Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett will star in Spiderhead, a film directed by Joseph Kosinski for Netflix
As reported by Deadline, Netflix has put together a spectacular cast for Spiderhead, getting Chris Hemsworth, Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett (Lovecraft Country) to star in the Joseph Kosinski-directed adaptation of George Saunders' tale. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick writers of Zombieland and Deadpool are responsible for writing the script.

Josephn Kosinski after directing Top Gun: Maverick with Tom Cruise, once again has MilesTeller as one of its stars.
Spiderhead is set in the near future, when convicts are offered the opportunity to volunteer as medical subjects in hopes of shortening their sentences. The focus is on two prisoners who become test patients for emotion-altering drugs that force prisoners to deal with their past in a facility run by a brilliant visionary who oversees the show.

The film will be produced by Eric Newman for Screen Arcade through the producer's first-look contract at Netflix, along with Chris Hemsworth; Oren Katzeff and Geneva Wasserman for The New Yorker Studios; Reese and Wernick, Tommy Harper and Jeremy Steckler
Saunders's tale was first published in The New Yorker and later compiled into its best-selling anthology, December Ten.
Hemsworth just starred in Tyler Rake (Extraction), the AGBO-produced action movie that became Netflix's most-watched movie, with a sequel already confirmed. Smollett, who burst onto the scene in later seasons of Friday Night Lights, recently co-starred on the big screen with Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of Harley Quinn.
