Actor Chris Hemsworth says he will stay as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Love and Thunder (2022).
It has been speculated that Chris Hemsworth could stop being Thor after passing the mantle of God of Thunder to Jane foster of Natalie Portman in the fourth film the character of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But it seems that he is not willing to stop being the great Asgardian hero. At least that is what he has assured in a recent interview.
"Are you crazy?! I'm not going into any retirement period (laughs). Thor is too young for that. I'm only 1500 years old! It's definitely not a movie that says goodbye to this brand. At least I hope so ”.
The actor did not elaborate or share new plot details, but reiterated how pleased he was with the film's script.
“After reading the script, I can say that I am very excited. For sure there will be a lot of love and a lot of lightning in this production (laughs). Chris Hemsworth said. “I'm glad that after everything that happened in Avengers: Endgame, I'm still part of the Marvel Universe and we can continue the story of Thor. Of course, I can't tell you anything about the plot, but to satisfy your curiosity, I'll say that I had a lot more fun reading the Thor: Ragnarok script, and that proves something, because this movie was brilliant. But I think this one is even crazier. "
So are we going to have two Thors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the next few years? The god and goddess of thunder? That's certainly a possibility, but Chris Hemsworth's character could take on a more like a mentor role. There really are many options and this fourth installment is sure to be a madness that will leave fans wanting more.
