As promised, the official trailer for the Justice League Snyder Cut has been officially released and will arrive on HBO Max in four parts.
The Justice League DC FanDome panel was not as revealing as could be expected, as the film's release date was not officially announced and we must only assume that its official title is Justice League: The Snyder Cut.
On the bright side, the movie has now been confirmed to release on HBO Max in four one-hour parts, and will then be available as a four-hour long movie.
Zack Snyder also mentioned that for fans abroad (where HBO Max is not available), there are plans for it to be distributed, so we will have to wait for news on how it unfolds. Independently.
The trailer contains a host of never-before-seen footage and some important clues on what to expect, as well as a ton of Easter eggs. Including shots of Uxas / Darkseid, Desaad, and Steppenwolf, not to mention that Flash seemingly travels through time (something Snyder hinted at during the Justice League DC FanDome panel). The negative note of it is the use of the theme Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen, which detracts from the epicity of the video piece that would have gained much more with the soundtrack of Junkie XL, a composer who already had the soundtrack of the film ready before being replaced by Danny Elfman for Whedon's version (although Snyder's message with the use of the song is also understood). Another aspect that perhaps would have to correct for its premiere on HBO Max is the version of Darkseid shown, since graphically it looks like a video game character and unreal.
In short, I really want to see it, especially since it will be 4 hours long and will explain many details of the plot that were lost and a more coherent film than the one released in theaters will be seen.
You can see it below:
Motivated by the faith he had regained in humanity and inspired by Superman's altruistic action, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his new ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater foe. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman move quickly to try to find and recruit a team of metahumans to combat this new threat. The problem is that despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes - Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and Flash - it may be too late to save the planet from a threat of catastrophic proportions.
