The most puzzling thing about the Batman v Superman movie was the apocalyptic nightmares, but Justice League will clarify that.
The HBO Max platform will premiere in 2021 the version of Zack Snyder's Justice League, which seems to have nothing to do with what they showed in theaters. Since the director has commented that he will show more Batman apocalyptic nightmares.
When a fan asked on the social network Vero if the Justice League Snyder Cut would include more scenes from the nightmares, Zack Snyder replied with a simple "Oh ya". So for now we do not know where they will be included and what Batman will be able to see. But it is clear that it will completely change the plot of the film.
Why are these nightmares important?
In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), we can see how Batman dreams of a future where Darkseid has taken over Earth and worst of all, Superman works for him. So the Man of Steel captures the Dark Knight and supposedly kills him. But Batman wakes up and that's when Flash travels back in time to tell him that the key is Lois Lane. Then he wakes up again and this was supposed to influence the Justice League movie.
But Joss Whedon preferred to make a more conventional movie, instead of following Zack Snyder's ideas, that's why Batman did not have nightmares again. But now in its new version it seems that they will show them again.
Theoretically in Zack Snyder's version of Justice League it was Steppenwolf who resurrected Superman and Batman had those new nightmares. So he had to involve Lois Lane in some way to get Superman back on the good side. But for this to be confirmed we will have to wait for the new 4-hour version to be released on HBO Max.
