Marvel could have its own virtual event

According to new rumors, there is a strong possibility that Marvel will follow in Warner's footsteps. Apparently, the studio could carry out its own virtual event.

Although it was reported in early July that Disney + would be present at the Comic-Con to be held online on the 22nd of this month, it seems that Marvel has decided to follow in Warner's footsteps and will not participate in the 2020 call. The event that each year brings together thousands of fans of superheroes and heroines, lovers of comics or popular culture, was canceled for the first time in 50 years of history due to the coronavirus and decided to move to the virtual world so that producers and distributors could continue to advertise its news on online panels accessible to everyone.

However, according to Deadline, although Marvel has not made an official announcement about it, it could organize its corresponding event to present Phase 4 of its Cinematic Universe as well as new advances from WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Warner has done the same by calling DC fans to a particular convention on Saturday, August 22, which will last 24 hours and will start at 19:00 Spanish time. It will also be virtual and free to access worldwide and is expected to feature announcements for The Batman, the Justice League Snyder Cut, The Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman 1984 and Black Adam.

What to expect

The virtual Comic-Con 2020 will have about 350 panels and will take place between July 22 and 26, starting at 12am Spanish time through the web and its YouTube channel. Among the most anticipated encounters are the del Star Trek ’universe with the cast and crew of Discovery, Picard and Lower Decks; the Cartoon Network Studios First Look panel; the presentation of Utopia, the new series by Gillian Flynn with John Cusack and Rainn Wilson remake of the British original. There will also be performances from The Walking Dead and The Simpsons.
