Marvel's Eternals movie has manga influences

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige and The Eternals director Chloe Zhao discuss the film that will hit theaters in 2021.

In Marvel studios they are very happy with the vision he brought Chloe zhao to the movie of The Eternals. Since it was not easy to carry out such a great story with little-known characters from the comics. But they assure that it will be one of the great events of 2021.

The director explained that: “I have such deep and strong roots in manga. I brought some of that to Los Eternos. And I hope to promote more of that marriage between East and West ”. Zhao also had big ambitions for his Marvel movie. “How much further and bigger can we go after Avengers: Endgame? Because I'm not just making the movie as a director. I'm making the movie as a fan. “

Despite some filmmakers clashing with Marvel Studios in the past, Zhao says he was able to film The Eternals exactly the way he wanted. That's why he gives credit to Kevin Feige and the rest of Marvel executives for wanting to take risks and do something different.

This obviously includes the MCU's first LGBTQ relationship.

“That was always something inherent in the history and composition of the different types of Los Eternos,” said Kevin Feige. “I think it's very well done, and I hope that level of inclusion in our future films is less of an issue.”

The film also has a diverse cast, and that was important to Zhao for a number of reasons when he decided to tackle this story. “I wanted it to reflect the world we live in,” he says. But I also wanted to put together a cast that felt like a bunch of misfits. He did not want athletes. I want you to go to the end of the movie without thinking, 'This person is of this ethnic group, that person is that nationality. No. I want you to go thinking, “That's a family.” You don't think about what they represent. You see them as individuals ”.

Los Eternos will premiere on February 12, 2021. So we will probably have a trailer very soon as the promotion of the film begins.
