New details of the Flash plot are leaked

While DC Comics' The Flash movie is immersed in its production, new plot details have been leaked today

Not only will The Flash movie bring back the versions of Batman, Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck, it will also introduce Supergirl in the DCEU. Thanks to the photos from the shoot, we already got to see the star Sasha Calle dressed as the Girl of Steel for the first time. This has allowed us to know how he will look in the film, but it has not helped us much to discover his role in the plot of the film starring Ezra Miller, until now.

According Giant Freakin Robot, the version of Supergirl played by Sasha Calle hails from the same Earth as Michael Keaton's Bruce Wayne. According to the site's "trusted and proven" sources, The Flash will reveal that Supergirl was the one who traveled to Earth instead of Superman in this universe. And instead of being found by the kindly Kents, she was discovered by less honorable humans who did experiments on her. Apparently, she was even "tortured" as a baby when these humans tried to determine her origins and powers.

A story with parallels to Flashpoint

Comic book readers can see some parallels between this Supergirl backstory and Flashpoint's, in this latest Superman, he landed in Metropolis instead of Smallville and was kept in an underground bunker his entire life by the US government. We know that The Flash is partially inspired by Flashpoint. However, if this information is accurate, it would go in an even darker direction than the famous grim timeline from the comics.

The details that we know so far of the plot have explained that Barry Allen will go back in time to save his mother and when he returns he will end up in a different universe: the Land of Keaton. From there, you'll have to team up with the elderly Dark Knight and Supergirl to fix things. Kara de Calle isn't necessarily canon for the original Burtonverse, as The Flash will visit a somewhat messy timeline.

However, presumably when the multiverse reboots, Sasha Calle will stay in the DCEU as the franchise's official Supergirl. Keaton is also expected to return for more movies. The Flash is filming in the UK now ahead of its arrival in theaters on November 4, 2022.
