Tenet actor explains why he “couldn't get over” filming the movie

John David Washington talks about his experience filming Christopher Nolan's Tenet, which will be released very soon.

This summer will be very particular due to the global pandemic caused by the Coronavirus. On these dates many movies are usually released that drag a large number of people to the cinema. But this year everything will be different. At least we can see Christopher Nolan's Tenet. Whose story is as enigmatic as it is interesting.

The actor John David Washington who plays the starring role in Tenetrecalled some moments from the recording set:

“I couldn't overcome the scale of everything, how many background artists we had. Those are not digitally enhanced people, they were not painted, they were all there and present. And they were so excited to be in a Chris Nolan movie. I was also excited to be in a Chris Nolan movie running for my life. It was extremely intense, so many moving pieces. Nolan on set simply works at that pace and is very well organized. I mean, it was chaos when he yelled 'Action!' But in doing so, he felt very organized. ”

The Tenet scene he refers to, I think, is that of an assault by a special forces team on the opera where there are a lot of extras.

Christopher Nolan is one of the few remaining "old school" filmmakers. He always shoots his work on film and despises the use of green screens.

Recall that on Tenet, the director crashed a real 747 plane during the making of the film, among many other practical stunts.

Tenet will follow the character of John David Washington on some kind of mission to stop World War III using something called a "time investment." It is an experience made entirely with the big screen in mind and the biggest project of Christopher Nolan till the date.

“We are jumping from the point of view of a spy movie, but we are going to different places. We are crossing some different genres in a hopeful and fresh way. Producer Emma Thomas and I have put together many large-scale productions, but this is undoubtedly the largest in terms of international reach. We filmed in seven countries, all over the place, with a massive cast and huge set pieces. There is no doubt, it is the most ambitious film we have ever made. ” Nolan the Tenet director commented.

The Tenet movie will be released on July 31, 2020.
