Legendary Entertainment has released the first poster for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot and they announce that the film will be released in 2021.
In 1974 Tobe Hooper premiered the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the public was horrified from the beginning. The film was classified as too violent, it was banned in several countries and some cinemas stopped showing it after complaints from viewers. But this only increased the reputation of the film and attracted new audiences. And it is that the story of a group of young people who meet a family of cannibals by chance had quite a hook. Over the years the Texas Chainsaw Massacre became a cult horror movie and Leatherface in one of the most popular killers in cinema. With this reputation in the world of horror, it is normal that the studios want to continue monetizing the Leatherface story. Now it has been revealed that the new reboot will be released in 2021 and we have a first look.

Produced by Federico Alvarez (Evil Death), the new reboot will seek to bring the story of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre to new generations of horror fans. In the poster revealed by Legendary Entertainment We see how Leatherface will be this time. The image is painted in a simple and abstract style. Among the brushstrokes in pink, black, yellow and red tones you can distinguish the famous mask made of human skin. A website for the film has also been created, you can access it here.
What about the reboot?
Not much is known about Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot plot but the poster does not offer part of the plot. “In 1974, the world witnessed one of the most bizarre crimes in the annals of American history. In 2021, the face of madness returns. " For his part, Federico Alvarez was in charge of the reboot of Evil dead and the responses were good, so we can expect a similar treatment to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. His version of Evil Dead followed the original plot while expanding on some key moments and taking little twists elsewhere.

The movie will be a continuation of the one released in 1974. Emmy winner David Blue Garcia, known for his work on Texan, is in charge of the direction and the development of the script with Chris Devlin. Garcia was not the studio's first choice, but a week after production began he stepped in to replace Andy and Ryan Tohill.
The cast of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2021) join Elsie fisher (Eight Grade), Jacob latimore (The Maze Runner), Sarah yarkin (Happy Death Day 2), Mark Burham (Wrong Cops), Alice krige (Star Trek), Olwen Fouéré (Mandy), Nell hudson (Victory), Jessica allain (the laundry), Sam douglas (Snatch), Willian hope (Dark Shadows), Jolyon coy (War and Peace) and Moe duford (Vinkingos).
Other details of the film have not been revealed yet. But horror fans can almost certainly look forward to a movie full of blood, gore, screaming and death at the hands of the iconic serial killer Leatherface. Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot to premiere in 2021 but the exact date is still unknown.
