The director of Los Eternos explains why she wanted to join the UCM

Chloé Zhao is responsible for The Eternals and explains why she wanted to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and direct the film after being a fan.

Phase 4 of Marvel studios is full of several long-awaited sequels, but The Eternals is a new franchise that they are going to launch and they hope it will be as successful or more than the Guardians of the Galaxy. Even though most people don't know anything about any of the characters, Marvel is betting that an all-star cast and a unique vision for the director Chloé zhao They will help blow up everyone's lockers.

For now, Marvel has not yet published any official photo of the movie of The Eternals, much less a trailer, and for now we can not even assure that it will be released in February as planned. However, the director has received a big boost thanks to her new film Nomadland won first prize in the Venice Film Festival and is currently considered a candidate for the best awards for next year.

Chloé Zhao recently spoke about her decision to join the MCU.

“I've been a fan of the MCU for over a decade, so it makes sense to me to throw myself into a Marvel movie. I want to make films that last, that have a timeless feel like Los Eternos. But most of all I don't want them to just be a flash in the pan with whatever topic is trending on Twitter right now. I am not interested in those things ”.

The growing popularity of the MCU has allowed Marvel Studios to bring some talented people into this universe, and Chloé zhao will join the Russo brothers, James Gunn or Taika waititi. Admittedly, Marvel has pulled directors out of relative obscurity and helped them become some of the greatest in the world.
