The Eternals will have a new comic to prepare fans for the film

The Eternals characters were created by the legendary Jack Kirby and made their first appearance in Marvel comics in July 1976 and will now have their own movie.

Behind every great movie by Marvel there is a great comic that inspired it. Civil War, Infinity War, Age of Ultron, are concepts taken from the pages of comics. And now it's the turn of Los Eternos. To know more about these characters it would be a good idea to visit the pages of the original material.

So Marvel Entertainment has announced a new title, Los Eternos, which will be released in November. You can check out the awesome trailer below. The comic is written by Kieron Gillen, which is well known thanks to The Wicked + The Divine, Uncanny X-Men and Thor. The artwork, which also appears in the trailer, is by Esad Ribić.

The important influence of Jack Kirby.

“I said that if I ever did a book at Marvel again, it would have to be something that I had never done before. This is exactly that. This is me literally teaming up with my favorite artist from the epic, taking one of those Kirby visions of a thunderstorm and remaking it to be as new as the day it was forged. ” said Kieron Gillen. “Although Esad Ribić creates entire worlds on the page, I am applying all the skills that I have developed when I was away. Its alot. That's it. There is enough packed scale here that I think when you look at the comic, you will see the pages bulge slightly. Basically, Los Eternos has to mean “never go out of style”, which means that our goal is an “instant classic”. There will also be scenes of fight, horror, human drama, emotions, explosions ”.

Marvel has also gone to great lengths to let us know that this book can be enjoyed even by people who don't know these heroes. Since they want the Eternals movie to be successful and for now they are not very popular.

Los Eternos will premiere on February 12, 2021.
