The Snyder Cut will exist outside of DC continuity

The Snyder Cut is giving a lot to talk about. Zack Snyder revealed new information about this version of Justice League.

Zack Snyder fans have been celebrating since HBO Max announced that in 2021 the Snyder Cut, the version of Justice League that the director devised and could not end after leaving filming for personal reasons, will come to light. Ever since the movie, completed by Joss Whedon, hit theaters, there has been a loud movement on social media asking Warner Bros to let Snyder finish his version, and it's finally happening.

However, the DC Extended Universe has continued beyond the Zack Snyder movie, and has been mutating into something quite different from what was originally designed, with movies outside of official continuity like Joker. And it looks like it will happen with the long-awaited Snyder Cut. "Frankly, the DC Universe has grown like a tree and blossomed and expanded in amazing and cool ways," Snyder said in an interview with Beyond The Trailer. "For me, 'Justice League' falls in a place that represents its own path. It is now as separate from the continuity of the DC Universe. And I think it's a good thing, ”he said of the Snyder Cut.

According to the director, this diversity is one of the greatest assets of Warner Bros and DC. “DC's power and one of its coolest strengths is its multiverse concept, in which they put filmmakers ahead and say, 'We want to hear your individual voices. Take these characters and give them a spin and show us what you would do with it just like writing comics, "so I think it is a very cool and amazing canvas."

The multiverse comes to the cinema

The DC multiverse is a concept that has been present in the comics for years and has entered the world of television at the hands of The Flash, but in the cinema it has not yet been explored too much. In a Batman dream in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ you could see some of it, but obviously Snyder couldn't keep going down that path when he got off the saga.

Now it seems that Barry Allen will again be in charge of introducing the multiverse into cinema. According to rumors, the solo film of ‘The Flash’ with Ezra Miller will have the return of Michael Keaton as Batman through a trip between parallel universes and if the actor does not accept, Christian Bale would also be in the crosshairs. We will have to wait to see if it will come true in the movie directed by Andy Muschietti, which was expected to start filming in spring 2021.

As for the Snyder Cut, we will have to wait until 2021 to see it on the small screen. | Movies, comics and series
