Gunn has recently been forced to spend much of his time on the Internet debunking filming rumors. Despite the fact that worldwide movie production was temporarily halted due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Internet began to flutter with the news that both Black Panther 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 might start filming soon. However, the movies probably won't start production by then for a variety of reasons. Even before productions were forced to be delayed, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was far from production due to Gunn's previous commitments to The Suicide Squad. Not only is the third a Marvel Studios release date, but James Gunn has confirmed time and time again that he will finish all work on The Suicide Squad before beginning production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

The Suicide Squad is expected to include Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man, Steve Agee as King Shark, Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher , and John Cena as Peacemaker. Flula Borg, Nathan Fillion, Mayling Ng, Pete Davidson, Sean Gunn, Joaquin Cosio, Juan Diego Botto, Storm Reid, Taika Waititi, Alice Braga, Tinashe Kajese, Peter Capaldi, Julio Ruiz, Jennifer Holland, Idris Elba and Michael Rooker. | Movies, comics and series
