Tom Hanks could be part of Pinocchio's live-action

It was already known that Disney plans to release a live-action remake of Pinocchio, but now unexpected information has been released. Tom Hanks could play an important character!

Disney has spent a few years dedicating itself to producing live action versions of its most classic films. From Cinderella, through The Lion King to Aladdin. Without a doubt, the producer understood that this is her new source of making money. In addition to the upcoming release of Mulan by Disney +, the Mouse House is already planning a live-action remake of Pinocchio and Tom Hanks could be in it!

Apparently, Disney has long wanted to make a Pinocchio movie. Currently, the project is in the hands of Robert Zemeckis. The novelty is that according to Collider, Tom Hanks would be in negotiations to play the character of Geppetto, father of the mythical wooden character. It would not be the first time that they worked together, after ‘Forrest Gump’ and ‘Polar Express’.

It would not be the first version of real action

Curiously, this same year 'Pinocchio' is released, an Italian production with real actors directed by Matteo Garrone and starring Roberto Benigni who already played Pinocchio's father in 2002. In addition, the adaptation of Guillermo del Toro y Mar is in production Gustafson, starring Ewan McGregor and Tilda Swinton, will premiere in 2021.
